Edith May Clegg, 91, of Nabb, Indiana, passed away at Norton Scott Memorial Hospital.
She was born on January 24, 1934, in Madison, Indiana, the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie (Knoebel) Robbins.
Edith retired from Reliance Electric in Madison after many years of faithful and dedicated service. She was a longtime member of Nabb Presbyterian Church and also enjoyed fellowship and fun as a member of the Old Rainbow Strollers Square Dance Club. Edith was an avid UK basketball fan and loved traveling, including four trips to Hawaii, camping and spending winters in Florida.
Family was at the heart of Edith's life. She cherished time spent with her loved ones, especially her grandsons. Edith took great pride in her home, especially her yard work. She mowed her two acres on her Troybuilt riding mower up until she was 90 yeras old, which reflected her care, diligence, and love of the outdoors.
Edith will be remembered for her strong work ethic, devotion to her family and church, and the quiet joy she found in life's simple pleasures.Edith was preceded in death by her wonderful husband of 62 years, Albert M. Clegg, they were married on June 16, 1951; seven brothers; Bobby, Rodger, Leroy, Delmar, Charles, Frank, Graham; two sisters, Lola Lockridge, Janet Thomas. She is survived by her two sons; Marty A. Clegg(Brenda), Garry L. Clegg(Anita); brother, Ben Robbins; sister, Nancy Leatherbury; along with four grandsons, Barry(Andrea) Mark(Suzanne), Brad, Derek(Kiana) Clegg; five great grandchildren, Keenan Andrew, Joshua Ray, Simon Albert, Ellery June and Everlie Faye.There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 4-8pm at Collins Funeral Home. Service will be on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 11am with more visitation before from 10-11am. Burial will follow at Barnes Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Nabb Presbyterian Church care of Collins Funeral Home.
