Edna Carol Turner

Edna "Carol" Turner, 77, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on August 15, 2026 at Lake Pointe Village Nursing Home.

She was born on February 15, 1949, in Buckhorn, Kentucky. Carol worked as a dedicated custodian and she took great pride in her cleaning and believed in taking care of the people and places around her. Her hands were rarely still, she worked at Scott Memorial Hospital for 12 years, Scott County Courthouse 10 years and Walmart for 10 years. She loved everyone she met including her co-workers.

Carol loved her family, especially her babies and enjoyed spending time them at any chance she had. She also enjoyed cooking, tending to her garden, planting flowers and painting her statues.

In her later years, Carol became a resident of Hickory Creek and Lake point village, where she was cared for by a dedicated team who came to know and love her. She became a special part of the ASC community and will be deeply missed by the staff and fellow residents who were blessed to know her.

Carol was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Sue Smith; two grandsons, Dustin Wayne Spicer and Davis Epperson. She is survived by her daughters; Teresa Spicer(Chris), Joyce Ray(Cory); five grandchildren, Terra Smith(Brandon), Renee Bishop, Dalton Epperson, Dalton Barnett, Melinda Spicer, Franklin Spicer; along with nine great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Cremation was chosen and entrusted with Collins Funeral Home.
