Elmer Barger, 58, of Crothersville, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on March 6, 1965 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of Joe C. Barger and Esther C. (Stevens) Barger, who survive. Elmer was a member of the New Frankfort Pentecostal Church in Austin, Indiana. Elmer enjoyed collecting football cards, going fishing, watching NASCAR and building car models. His favorite thing to do was spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one brother, Joe Barger. Survivors include his parents, Joe and Esther Christine Barger of Scottsburg, Indiana; his loving wife of 29 years, Tammy Barger; four daughters, Amanda (Timmy) Knowland of Austin, Indiana, Kacie (Dale) White of Crothersville, Indiana, Isabelle (Aaron) Barger-Martin of Arkansas, and Wendi Jennings of Madison, Indiana; two sons, Brandon Barger of Scottsburg, Indiana and Johnathon Hulsopple of Crothersville, Indiana; two brothers, Larry (Jean) Barger of London, Kentucky and John (Angela) Barger of Scottsburg, Indiana; one sister: Tina (Doc) Smith of Lexington, Indiana; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Funeral Service: 5:00 pm Friday, April 21,2023 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Sean Eversole officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Friday at Collins Funeral Home. Cremation has been entrusted to Collins Funeral Home following the service.
