Ethelean Robbins, age 82 of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Meadow View Health Rehab Center in Salem, Indiana. The family will hold a private visitation and service at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg Indiana on Sunday April 7, 2024, and she will lay to rest in Crace Family Cemetery in Charlestown Indiana. Online visitors may sign the guest register at Online condolences: www.collinsfuneralhome.net. She was born on October 4, 1941, in Kings Creek, Kentucky, to the late William Shepherd and Sally (Day) Shepherd. She retired from Floyd County Hospital in New Albany Indiana where she enjoyed working until 2010. She graduated from Charlestown High School in 1960 where she was an active member of the High School Band. Ethelean had a love for growing flowers, gardening, eating out and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She married William Carter Robbins, who preceded her in death in 1971. She was preceded by her brothers who included:  Lawrence Shepherd, Glenn Shepherd, Lowell Shepherd, Tony Shepherd; her sisters were Bernice Richmond, Bernell Browning, and surviving sister Angie Childress. Ethelean has 8 children to include Brian Robbins, Tammie Collins-Floyd, Michael Robbins, Melissa Robbins, Dale Robbins, Crystal Rene Robbins and Julia Robbins, Dwight Craig Robbins who preceded in death in 2020.   She had 15 grandchildren to include Carter, Victoria, Ashley, Tresha, Tiffany, Jordan, Ella, Aarika, Trevor, Cody, Dwight, Carson, Emily, Natlie, Hailey; and 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
