Evelyn Sue Cross, 69, of Lexington, Indiana passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on April 29, 1952 in Indiana, the daughter of the late John Weaver and Carol (Plessinger) Weaver. Sue graduated from Scottsburg High School in the class of 1970. On January 9, 1971 she married Danny J. Cross, who passed away September 4, 2014. Sue was a former trustee of Johnson Township, and she also worked at the Scott County Court House in the auditor's office. Sue enjoyed spending time with her family, crafting, and collecting plants. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors include two daughters, Amy Booth of Indianapolis, Indiana and Kathy Jo Cross of Jensen Beach, Florida; son, Jason (Julie) Cross of Lexington, Indiana; sister, Mary (Ted) Denney of Scottsburg, Indiana; two brothers, Joe Weaver of Lexington, Indiana and John (Becky) Weaver of Indianapolis, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Kailea and Taylor Booth, Hannah Collins, Lane Harris, Trenton, Jackson, Jaylyn Cross; five great grandchildren, Reagan, Ryleigh, Delialah, Xavier, and Macey Lewis. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Sunday, January 9,2022 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Phil LaMaster officiating. Visitation: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Sunday at Collins Funeral Home.
