Fred Barnett, Jr., 74, of Austin, Indiana passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at his residence. He was born on February 14, 1947 in Austin, Indiana, the son of the late Fred Barnett Sr. and Maudella (Strong) Barnett. He enjoyed farming in his time off, his specialty being sweet corn. Fred loved his time at the boat and enjoyed playing the penny slots. He also had a great love for children, even coaching little league baseball. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Wallace Strong and Roger Barnett and one sister, Janice Ward. Survivors include: a son, Stephen Barnett of New Albany, Indiana; a sister: Lynda Barnett Denny of Riverview, Florida; one granddaughter, Charlotte Olivia Mansur; one grandson, Brendan Stephen Barnett; and he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
