Gary Dale Gibson, 75, of Lexington, Indiana passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on June 9, 1947, in Big Stone, Virginia. On August 28, 1965, Gary married the love of his life Betty Sue (Thomas) Gibson, who passed away May 31, 2022 after fifty-seven years of marriage. He was a retired employee of General Electric in Louisville, Kentucky where he worked for 32 years. Gary was a member of AA in Scott County at the Scottsburg First Presbyterian. He helped many people through the years find sobriety. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue. Survivors include three sons, Gary Allen Gibson of Scottsburg, Indiana, Jeffery Allen (Cassidy) Gibson of Commiskey, Indiana, and Mason Gibson of Lexington, Indiana; one daughter, Lisa Dawn (Danny) Dunn of Lexington, Indiana; one sister, Ruby Lee Simpkins of Lexington, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Jackson, Tyra (Alex), Tristen, Dale (Brittney), Derrick, Dustin, and Darci; twenty great grandchildren and one on the way. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home with Joe Arevalos officiating. Visitation 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, September 7, 2022, and after 10:00 am Thursday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Interment at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana.
