Gary Murphy, 48, of Columbus, Indiana passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at his residence. He was born on March 25, 1974 at Bartholomew County Hospital in Columbus, Indiana, the son of the late Larry R. Murphy and Ruth (Doane) Murphy, who survives. Gary attended two years of college at Indiana University-Purdue University. He loved gardening, cooking, reading science fiction and horror stories. Gary enjoyed creating mysterious stories on his podcast. He was an avid Greenbay Packers fan and loved border collie dogs. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry R. Murphy. Survivors include his mother, Ruth Murphy; brother, David Murphy; sister-in-law, Angela Murphy; and nephew, William Murphy.
