Gary Wayne Turner, 57, of Salem, Indiana passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on February 23, 1964 in Fort Carson, Colorado, the son of the Marion and Shirley Turner. On March 11, 1994 he married Linda Kay (Jewell) Turner, who survives. He was an employee of Housewoods and had also worked at Hillcrest Pallet both in Salem, Indiana. Gary was a former volunteer firefighter for Pierce Polk Fire Department in Pekin Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include wife, Linda Kay Turner of Salem, Indiana; mother, Shirley Turner; two daughters, Angela Anderson of Lawrence County, Indiana and Kayla Payne of Palmyra, Indiana; son, Kyle Turner of Salem, Indiana; two brothers, Doug and Bryan Turner both of Fredericksburg, Indiana; four grandchildren, Olivia and Brooklyn Williams, Heath and Mylee; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 12:00 Noon Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Collins officiating. Visitation: 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Thursday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Kay's Chapel Cemetery in Fredericksburg, Indiana.
