Gerald Edward "Ed" Robinson

Gerald Edward "Ed" Robinson, 73, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on July 26, 2026, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on July 7, 1953 in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late Leslie Robinson and Ruth (Williams) Robinson. He graduated from Scottsburg Senior High School in 1972. On October 21, 1972, Ed married the love of his life, Dixie Sweet. Together, they shared a beautiful life, raising two wonderful daughters, Michelle and Monica. He retired from Multicolor in Scottsburg, Indiana after 10 years. Ed was dedicated to his community, serving as a past Chief of the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department and holding various office positions within the organization. His commitment to service and leadership left a lasting impact on the community he loved. Ed is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ron Robinson and Jimmy Robinson; and two sisters, Barbara Howard and Kathy Cass. In addition to his loving wife, Dixie, Ed is survived by two daughters, Michelle Shepherd and Monica (Randy) Richey; three sisters, Judy Zollman, Lana Barger, and Linda Mills; four grandchildren, Ashley (Chris) Buie, Alex (Emily) Shepherd, Abby (Zach) Edwards, and Cameron Richey; and two great grandchildren, Lorelei and Hudson. The funeral service for Ed Robinson will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 1:00pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be on Thursday prior to the service from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Collins Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Kimberlin Creek Cemetery, Scottsburg, Indiana.
