Gilbert Epple, 88, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on August 2, 1935 the son of the late Honora (Durbin) Dunn. Gilbert loved to fish. In addition to his mother, Gilbert was preceded in death by his; son, Kenneth Epple; three brothers, Richard Dunn, Jerry Dunn, and Larry Dunn; and one sister, Edna Dunn. His survivors include wife, Myrtle (Haskins) Epple of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sons, Paul (Cindy) Epple of Lexington, Indiana and Daniel Fred (Alisha) Epple of Bedford, Indiana; one brother, James I. (JoAnn) Dunn of Scottsburg, Indiana; and eight grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday January 5, 2024 at Collins Funeral Home with Matthew Craig officiating. Visitation wlill be at Collins Funeral Home from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Friday January 5, 2024. Interment will be private at a later date at Scaffold Lick Cemetery in Blocher, Indiana.
