Glen McVey, 81, passed away on March 25, 2025, in Paris Crossing, Indiana, on his family farm, surrounded by loved ones. Glen McVey was born on January 13, 1944, in Millsboro, Kentucky, to the late John Paris McVey and Mabel (Harris) McVey. Glen graduated from Austin High School, in Austin, Indiana, where he developed a passion for basketball, which later evolved into a devoted Kentucky Wildcats Fan. After graduation he married the love of his life Norma (Fox) McVey. The Lord blessed them with two talented sons (Donald and Douglas). He then had a successful career as an engine mechanic at Cummins Engine in Columbus, Indiana, where he retired in 1994. Following his retirement, Glen took up farming while continuing to be a dependable/loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and had a notable fondness for sweets. He would go to the ends of the earth to provide unconditional love, support and resources to his family. Glen had a unique ability to build and repair anything. He had a wonderful, easy laugh of his own, one that sparkled all the way to his beautiful blue eyes. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and seven sisters. Glen McVey is survived by his loving wife of over 62 years, Norma (Fox) McVey, two sons; Donald (Tammy) McVey of Paris Crossing, Indiana, and Douglas (Sara) McVey, of Traverse City, Michigan.
