IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Glenda Lee
Albertson
September 9, 1949 – January 8, 2023
Glenda Lee Albertson, 73 of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on September 9, 1949, in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Stanley Snelling and Lillian (Bundren) Snelling. On April 18, 1967, she married Jerry Lee Albertson, who preceded her in death on July 15, 2019. Glenda was a loving mother who genuinely enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a woman of God that didn't miss an opportunity to share her faith or the pride she had for her five children and grandchildren. Not many Tuesdays went by that she didn't spend the afternoon in the kitchen preparing a home cooked dinner for her children and their families. Often times, there'd be other friends and family who would drop by to see everyone during dinner they too would be greeted with the same hospitality as everyone else gathered around the table. Tuesday dinners were about sharing more than just a meal, they were about sharing laughs, sharing highlight reels of the week, sharing time as family, and most importantly to Glenda sharing love. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Stanley Edward Snelling: and three sisters, Rachel Dunn, Geneva Snelling, and Patricia Snelling. Survivors include her four sons, Travis (Erica) Albertson, Jerry (Jennifer) Albertson, Chris (Tracie) Albertson, and David (Allison) Albertson; a daughter Kim (Allen) Noe; brother, Wilbur Snelling; sister, Gertrude Lewis; eight grandchildren, Lillian, Jesse, Kurtlin, Grace, Kaden, Kierra, Reese, and Chase; and two great grandchildren, Kalal and Lyra. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Swartz officiating. Visitation 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday January 13, 2023, from 11:00 am until the time of service on Saturday at Collins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
