Gregory Alan LaMaster, 49, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away at his home on July 15, 2026.
Born on January 10, 1977, in Scottsburg, Indiana, Greg was the beloved son of Ervin and Cathy LaMaster. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication as a heavy equipment operator. Greg was also a proud member of Sons of the American Legion Post 234. He has attended the Scottsburg Seventh Day Adventist Church for the past 17 years.
Greg found his greatest joy in the simple things in life. He loved spending time outdoors, whether he was fishing, tending his garden, or exploring nature. An avid coin collector, he appreciated history and the stories behind each treasured find. He had a deep love for animals, enjoyed traveling whenever he had the opportunity, and was happiest cheering on his children at their sporting events. Family was at the center of Greg's life, and he treasured every moment spent with those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his father,Ervin LaMaster; birth mother, Karen Schott; brother, David LaMerrill. Greg is survived by his loving wife, Pamela LaMaster; children, Trevor Gay(Alex), Aidan LaMaster, Elise LaMaster; sister, Diane LaMerrill(Damon); sister in laws, Christine LaMerrill, Tabitha Morrow(Adam); mother, Cathy LaMaster; father in law, Bill Owens; mother in law, Peggy Owens; nephews, Jacob Marrow, Chandler Whitsitt, Michael; nieces, Christa, Sasha; nephew, Ian; great niece, Isla; along with numerous aunts & uncles and extended family; close friends, Robert Davis and Jacob Halloway.Visitation will be on Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 10-1pm with service to follow at 1pm at Collins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Scott County Humane Society.
