Gregory Allen Shields, 54, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at his residence. He was born on May 23, 1965 in Salem, Indiana, the son of Farrell E. Shields and Mary Ann (Thompson) Shields. Greg graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1983, was a former employee of the old Bowater Computer Printing Company in Scottsburg, Indiana and also a former technician for Better Quality Business Systems in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Leota, Indiana, enjoyed the outdoors, playing golf and doing yard work. He was preceded in death by his father, Farrel Shields. Survivors include his son, Benton Shields of Scottsburg, Indiana; his mother, Mary Ann Shields of Scottsburg, Indiana and his sister, Janet Shields of St. Petersburg, Florida. Cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be given to the Scott County Clearinghouse c/o Collins Funeral Home.
