Helen Meadows, 99, passed away on May 15, 2024 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on February 12, 1925, in Scott County, Indiana to William Meadows and Bessie (Morgan) Meadows. Helen was a longtime member of the Scott County Moose Lodge post #2324 and the Crothersville VFW. Helen enjoyed to collect chicken and rooster figurines. Helen, known for her love of card games, and sharing her musical talent on the keyboard, took joy in singing hymns. Her legacy is carried on through the laughter of grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Kevin Howard and Marvin Fox; one daughter, Rhonda Fox; three sisters, Dorothy Arnold, Mildred Greer and Jewell Bolin; three brothers, Leland, Lloyd and Marvin Meadows; one grandchild, Daryl Elliott; and one great grandchild, Dustin Richey. She is survived by three daughters, Sonja (Ronald) Elliot of Crothersville, Indiana, Teresa Ingram of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Shirley Fox of Scottsburg, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Greg Richey, Robin (Joe) Tormoehelen, Michael (Betty) Richey, Tony (Tammy) Deaton, Heidi (Kerry) Turner, Dusty (Shawn) Allen, Misty (Tim) Richey, Sunni (Kelly) Ingram, and Abraham (Selisa) Fox. She is also survived by twenty-one great grandchildren and twenty-seven great great grandchildren. A private family graveside service for Helen Meadows will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor David Schill officiating.
