Hiroko Sandra "Sandy " Buie, 54, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on November 6, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Larry Vondran and Sumiko Kumai. Sandy married Gilbert Buie, who passed away on July 27, 2009. On August 7, 2010 she married Eric Buie, who survives. She attended the Elevation Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was a former employee of Walmart for seventeen years, where she worked as a pharmacy technician. Sandy was a very well known animal lover; whether it was a cat, dog, chicken, or duck, she made room for it. She also loved to bake and crochet. Another passion of hers was her vegetable garden that she used to produce her many canned goods. Sandy was always there for her family, and was there to lend a helping hand when anyone needed it. In addition to her parents and husband, Eric, she is survived by son, Paul Buie of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Tiffany Buie and her husband, Jacob Reid of Scottsburg, Indiana; son, Daron Buie of Scottsburg, Indiana; son, Christopher "Chris" Buie of Scottsburg, Indiana; brother, Daisaku Vondran of Los Angeles, California; and two grandchildren, Shawn and Michael Buie.
