Howard Vernon Reardon, 81, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born on June 9, 1940 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Elmer Reardon and Eva (Montgomery) Reardon. On October 21, 1995 he married Zella (Cox) Reardon, who survives. He was a former employee of Tube Turns Technologies in Louisville, Kentucky for over 34 years. Howard also enjoyed working on the family farm and spent a lot of time logging. He loved his pond and he was very proud of all the fish he raised in it. Howard was an avid outdoorsmen who enjoyed hunting deer, ginseng, and morel mushrooms. He found so much joy in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Fonda Thomas; son, James Dean; and granddaughter, Anne Marie Reardon. Survivors include: wife, Zella (Cox) Reardon; five sons, Vernon (Melissa) Reardon of Scottsburg, Indiana, Ricky (Tena) Reardon of Salem, Indiana, John Wayne Reardon of Nabb, Indiana, Howard (Cindy Nichols) Reardon, Jr. of Lexington, Indiana, Tim (Beth) Dean of Corydon, Indiana; one daughter, Margie Reardon of Scottsburg, Indiana; six sisters; two brothers; ten grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Mike Shuler officiating. Visitation: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday at Collins Funeral Home.
