Inez Marie Watterson, 96, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on October 16, 1926 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late George Atkins and Minnie (Wilson) Atkins. Inez enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family. She married Ralph G. Watterson, who passed away October 4, 1999. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Waterson; two sisters, Maryellen Baldwin and Betty Jean Gilsmap; and two brothers, Owen and Delmar Atkins. Survivors include her son, Steve E. Watterson of Lexington, Indiana; three daughters, Becky A. McCaskill- Nichols of New Albany, Indiana, Geneva K. (Richard) Clark of Columbus, Indiana, and Wanda L. Watterson of Plain Field, Indiana. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Vicky (Randy) Phelps, Elizabeth Reed, Kenneth Clark; and six great-grandchildren, Alex, Sam, Eric, Payton, Kylie and Matthew. Funeral Service 1:00 pm Friday, December 9,2022 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Chaplain T. C. Baker officiating. Visitation: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday, December 9,2022.
