Irene (Miller) Schlabach 77 years 11 months and 12 days of Lexington, Indiana passed away peacefully on February 29,2024 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Plain City, Ohio on March 17, 1946, to the late Wallace and Martha (Plank) Miller.

Left to cherish her memory are:

Husband, Jonas Schlabach whom she married on June 15,1967. Her children: Lavern (Evelyn) of Richmond, Missouri, Rebecca (Joseph Hostetler) of Belleville, Pennsylvania, Edward (deceased), Glen of the home, Steven (Debra) of Melvern, Kansas, Loretta (Leon King) of Lexington, Indiana, Robert (Dorcas- deceased) Holliday, Missouri, Mark (Kimberlee) Paris, Missouri. And 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Also surviving are five brothers, Lester (wife Mary), John (wife Erma), Melvin (wife Lynda), William (wife Becky) and David. Five sisters, Rachel (Ben) Yoder, Amanda (Rudy) Detweiler, Barbara Miller, Mary (WiIliam) Miller, and Susan Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother Clara; a son, Edward; daughter in law, Dorcas; and sister, Edna.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 2,2024 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be on Sunday, March 3,2024 at 10 am. Visitation and funeral will be at Living Waters Mennonite Church, 8722 W. Jones Road, Lexington, IN 47138.
