Irmal Leon Elliott, 78, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at his residence. He was born on December 2, 1942 in Whiteland, Indiana, the son of the late Leon Dalmer Elliott and F. Irma (Plapp) Elliott. He graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1960. Then he earned his Bachelors Degree from Georgetown College in 1965, then continued his education graduating from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1969. After graduating from the Seminary, Irmal was ordained at the Bethel Baptist Church in Leota, Indiana, where he was a lifetime member. He was a bi-vocational working at Elliott Auto in Scottsburg, Indiana and as a Pastor of numerous churches including Elizabeth Baptist Church in Nabb, Indiana, First Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana, Ft. Morgan Baptist Church in Colorado, Hayden Baptist Church in Hayden, Indiana, Bear Creek Baptist Church in Friendship, Indiana, New Prospect Baptist Church in Hanover, Indiana and Coffee Creek Baptist Church in Paris Crossing, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Leona Mae St. Clair. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Sheila Faye (Prall) Elliott; two sons, Irmal Lynn (Lisa) Elliott and Ian Lane (Sommer) Elliott both of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Shelly Faye (Bill) Pfaffenbach of Scottsburg, Indiana; and eight grandchildren, Bridget (Jake), Ashley, Levi, Chandler, Addison and Cooper Elliott, Emily and Lindsey Pfaffenbach.Funeral Service will be on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00am at Bethel Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation: 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, September 10, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home and after 9:00 am on Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will be at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
