James Eugene Camp, 85, of Crothersville, Indiana passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022, at his residence. He was born on April 13, 1936, in Itawamba County, Mississippi, the son of Lela Camp. He was a former door greeter at Walmart in Scottsburg, Indiana for almost twenty years. Jim was a retired truck driver before he was employed at Walmart. Before working as a truck driver and working at Walmart he retired from the U.S. Army in 1986 after serving thirty years. On April 23, 1993, he married Reva Mae (Pearson) Camp, who survives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lela, and great granddaughter, Natalie Ann Hazelwood. In addition to his wife, Reva, Jim is survived by four daughters, Ronda Chastain of Crothersville, Indiana, Regina Keith of Scottsburg, Indiana, Shannon (Aaron) Tullis of Austin, Indiana, and Stephanie Albertson of Scottsburg, Indiana; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-four great grandchildren. Funeral Service 1:00 pm Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Paul Hensley officiating.
