James "Jim" Harold Sullivan, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on January 25, 1939 in Austin, Indiana, the son of the late Harold and Martha M. (Smith) Sullivan-Mudd. After graduating high school in Alabama Jim went on to play college basketball at Howard College where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in History. On June 15, 1980 he married Sherri (Whitfield) Sullivan, who survives. He attended The Southeast Christian Church. Jim retired from Walmart Corporation as a store manager. He spent many years traveling all across the United States opening and revamping Walmart stores. Jim and his wife, Sherri, spent ten years of their retirement in Yucatan, Mexico; where Jim spent many days on the La Ceiba Golf Course. In addition to his parents Jim is preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Miner. In addition to his wife, Sherri, Jim is survived by daughter, Haylee (Scott) Stamper of Louisville, Kentucky; son, Todd (Denise) Abercrombie of Birmingham, Alabama; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn Abercrombie, Ava Stamper, Jameson Stocker, Marshall Stamper, Griffin Stocker, and Knox Stamper. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Monday, November 1, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Monday at Collins Funeral Home.
