James G."Putt Putt" Myrick, 66, passed away on August 31, 2023, peacefully at home with his family by his side. He was born on December 19,1956 in Sacramento, California, the oldest son to Donald and Patricia Myrick. He leaves behind his children, Sharon Krotzer and Pete of Akley Minnesota, Greg Blankenbaker and Phyllis of North Vernon, Indiana, Aaron Baugh and Stephanie of New Washington, Indiana, J.R. Myrick and Shauna of Kingman Arizona, Leslie Robison and Roger of Scottsburg Indiana, Lana Zollman and Clarence of Scottsburg, Indiana; twenty three grandchildren; and multiple great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Don Myrick of Kentucky, Kenny Myrick of California, Steve Myrick of California, and Dennis Myrick of Arizona. He has been a Scott County resident since 1983. He was a Veteran, Patriot, a fantastic artist who had etched many stones in the tri-state area, an avid motorcyclist, bow hunter, fisherman, and all round great man who never met a stranger. A follower of Christ Jesus and fellow servant of our Lord Jesus. Funeral Service 6:00 pm Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until time of service. Cremation will be following the service with private burial at a later date at Clark's Chapel Cemetery in Underwood, Indiana.
