James W. Owens, 84, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Nortons Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on August 9, 1937, in Brownstown, Indiana, the son of the late Brock Owens and Ruth (Blackwood) Owens. He was a member of the VFW Post #1925 in Seymour, Indiana. Survivors include two sons, Todd and Tommy Owens; and three nieces, Carla (Michael) Cutshall of Scottsburg, Indiana, Kathy (Bill) Hammers of Missouri and Dana Scarberry of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Dean Owens. Cremation was entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
