James Thomas Robinson, 81, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at his residence. He was born on December 25, 1940 in Otisco, Indiana, the son of the late Leslie Robinson and Ruth (Williams) Robinson. James attended Vienna Grade School growing up and later attended Scottsburg High School. He married his beautiful wife, Gale Robinson on October 4, 1962. They have been happily married for 59 years. He enjoyed listening to records, as well as collecting them. James also enjoyed watching Nascar, playing softball, and practicing karate. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathy Cass and Barbara Howard. Survivors include his wife, Gale Robinson; a daughter, Theresa (Donnie) Bowen of Scottsburg, Indiana; a son, Vince (Lisa) Robinson of Seymour, Indiana; two brothers, Ed (Dixie) Robinson and Ronnie Robinson all of Scottsburg, Indiana; three sisters, Judy Zollman of Charlestown, Indiana, Lana Barger and Linda Mills both of Scottsburg, Indiana; four grandsons, J.R., Brad and Carson Bowen and Isaiah (Mikala) Robinson; a granddaughter, Stefani (Lorenz) Nixon of Seymour, Indiana; two great granddaughters, Hailee Bowen and Serenity Nixon and two great grandsons, Xavier Robinson and Nakoa Nixon. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Mike LaFountain officiating. Visitation: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
