Janet Hargett, 84, of Crothersville, Indiana, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021 at her residence. She was born on September 28, 1936 in Carrollton, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Ed Lilly and Jesse Mae (Hayden) Lilly. She attended the World Outreach for Christ Church and was a member of the Sunshine Bible Study. Janet had many hobbies that she often turned into her career opportunities. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, and loved flowers. On March 11, 2018 she married Donald Hargett, who survives. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ben and Bill Lilly; and one sister, Delores. Her survivors include, her husband, Donald Hargett; two sons, Rob (Sarah Lee) Thomas of Worthville, Kentucky and Mark (Daryll) Thomas of Celebration, Florida; brother, Harold Wayne Lilly of Carrollton, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Kathrynanne Wright (Jon), Alexandria Thomas, Elizabeth Thomas, and Paul Thomas (Sarah); and six great grandchildren. Funeral Service: 12:00 pm Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Donahue officiating. Visitation: 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Thursday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carrollton, Kentucky at 3:00 pm following the services at the funeral home.
