Jimmy Earl Adams, 67, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on August 18, 2024, at home with his family by his side. He was born on June 10, 1957, in Columbus, Mississippi, to the late James Earl Adams and Annie Jane Adams. On June 7, 1975, Jimmy married the love of his life, Mary Elizabeth Williams, who passed away on June 18, 2021. Jimmy worked for many years in the utilities department for the City of Fort Myers Florida. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents and wife, Mary, Jimmy is preceded in death by one son, Jimmy "Jr" Adams; and two brothers, Eddie and Benny Adams. Jimmy is survived by three daughters, Christina (Ruben) Cortes of Scottsburg, Indiana, Ericka (Paige Tortat) Adams of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Melissa Kay Adams of Scottsburg, Indiana; sister, Merita Guinn of Mississippi; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 2:00pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
