Joan Taylor, 86, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Signature HealthCare at Hillcrest in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born on August 13, 1934 in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Henry and Kate (Chandler) Nichols. Joan was a graduate of Purdue University and Purdue University School of Pharmacy. During her time at Purdue she met her husband, Morris D. Taylor, who passed away July 10, 2021. She was a long time pharmacist in Central and Eastern Kentucky. Joan was a member of the White Oak Pond Christian Church and very active with the Madison County Public Library. Joan also enjoyed camping and traveling. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her five siblings, Juanita Winn, Lorene Armijo, Judy Ford, Emma Jean James, and Mack Nichols. Survivors include: two sons, Richard Morris Taylor of Richmond, Kentucky and David (Colleen) Taylor of Owensboro, Kentucky; daughter, Margaret Ann (Keith) Morgan of Castaic, California; brother, James Donald (Joyce) Nichols of Scottsburg, Indiana; four grandchildren, George Nathan (Kimberly) Taylor, Emily M. Taylor, Jeffrey Keith Morgan, and Cody Morgan; and four great grandchildren. Graveside Service: 1:00 pm Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Scottsburg Cemetery with Bryan Drum, Minister officiating.
