Jo Ann Smith Bowling, 67, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on October 4, 1954, in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late John Smith Sr. and Frances Lee (Barnett) Smith. She was an LPN at The Waters of Scottsburg in Scottsburg, Indiana and attended the Austin Christian Church. She enjoyed being with family, in her flower garden, playing bingo and the lottery, and going to the casino. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Smith, Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Tonja (Kenneth) Pasley; three sons, Rickey (Monica) Porter, Jr., Joshua (Naomi) Burris, and Bradley (Nora) Bowling; sister, Dana (Olusegun) Ebiniyi; eight grandchildren, Becca, Brittany, Zachary, Joseph, Ashlee, Aubree, Alayna, and Gabe; and four great grandchildren, Bentley, Aleigha, Ian, and Oakx.
