Obituary

JoAnn Soloe, 68, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana. She was born on May 4, 1952 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Eldren Napier, Sr. and Orpha (Gross) Napier. JoAnn graduated for Austin High School in the Class of 1970 and later married Bobby G. Soloe, who preceded her in death on May 12, 2006. She was a hostess for Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Scottsburg, Indiana ,where she had worked since it's opening. JoAnn also had worked at the old Holm Industries and Baringer Floral Shop both in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was a member of Grace Covenant Church of God in Austin, Indiana, enjoyed playing computer games, euchre and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Conley and Eldren Napier, Jr. Survivors include a daughter, Julie (Jason) Cross of Lexington, Indiana; a son, Robert J. Soloe of Show Low, Arizona; two brothers, Charles (Judy) Napier of Scottsburg, Indiana and Jack Napier of Austin, Indiana; five sisters, Mary (Bill) Manley of Sarasota, Florida, Betty Bard of Scottsburg, Indiana, Norma England, Linda (Charles) Sweany and Maxine St.Clair all of Seymour, Indiana and three grandchildren, Jaylyn Cross, Lane Harris and Jackson Cross. Private family only funeral and visitaion services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Gwaltney officiating. Funeral services may be viewed by the public on Collins Funeral Home's Facebook page at 12:00 noon on Saturday. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana. Graveside services will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed. Please follow the CDC's recommendations and guidelines while attending the services and face masks will be required due to the governor's executive mandate.
