Joanne Carr, 77, of Greenfield, Indiana, formerly of Scottsburg, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 at her residence. She was born on March 19, 1942 in Haleysburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Arthur James Overshiner and Louise (Treadway) Overshiner. Joanne was married on July 11, 1958 to Richard F. Carr, who preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 2004. She was a retired cook from the Scottsburg High School Cafeteria and a member of the Scottsburg First Christian Church. She had sung in the Music Valley Chorus Group in Madison, Indiana, enjoyed gardening, reading and playing cards with her friends. Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Mogle and her husband Timothy of Greenfield, Indiana; two sisters, Mary Lou Shelby of North Vernon, Indiana and Donna Jean Ardery of Salem, Indiana; four brothers, James Leon Overshiner and his wife Barbara of Versailles, Indiana, Ronald Dale Overshiner and his wife Carlene of Brownstown, Indiana, Carl Dean Overshiner and his wife Debbie of Speedway, Indiana and Roy Allan Overshiner and his wife Susan of Salem, Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews and her faithful dogs, Archie and Roxy.
