John Patrick Davis, 87, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at his residence. He was born on July 21, 1936 in Underwood, Indiana, the son of the late Dolly (Davis) Burch. John graduated from Henryville High School in 1954. After graduating he served in the United States Air Force as a Radio Operator. On July 1,1961 he married Barbara Ann (Lindblad) Davis, who passed away on December 25, 2016. John held memberships with the Scottsburg American Legion and the Masonic Lodge. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge #2324. He worked at several locations with Cummins Inc. building holset turbos for thirty four years before retiring. John enjoyed attending classic car cruise in's. He had an old GMC pickup truck as well as a Chevy Chevelle. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara; daughter, Tina Lynn Davis; brother, Donald Burch; and sister, Patsy Bernard. Survivors include his son, Troy Davis of Scottsburg, Indiana; daughter, Tracy Kaiser of Austin, Indiana; brother, Arthur Burch of Alabama; and sister, Marietta Hall of Underwood, Indiana. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Brandi (Michael) Fischer, Lindsey (Cody) Herron, and Braden Satterwhite; and two great grandchildren Xavier and Eleanor Herron.
