Joseph R. "Jobie" Evans, 63 of Scottsburg passed away March 30, 2025 in Chicago. He was born January 24, 1962 in Chicago to John W. and Evangeline Teressa Gentry Evans. He was the President of South End Auto Body, Inc. of Chicago.

He is preceded in death by his father, John W. Evans. Surviving to cherish his memory are his mother, Evangeline Evans, his sons, Joseph Keith Evans, Jonathan Levi Evans, Shade Dylan Evans and Nathan Robert Evans, his step-son, Joseph A. Canham, his step-daughter, Merisa Knackstedt, his sisters, Ganine Evans and Janna Evans, his grandchildren, Allissa Evans, Victoria Evans, James Evans, Finley Evans, Shade Evans and Shaylah Evans as well as nieces and nephew, Brittney Eads, Lance Eads and Eva Nani Aiona.

Cremation services were cared for by Collins Funeral Home of Scottsburg.
