Joseph "Joey" Feltes, 43, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 unexpectedly at his residence. He was born on January 5, 1977 in Alton, Illinois, the son of Michael Feltes and Debra (Schweppenstede) Feltes. Joey graduated from Orchard Farm Senior High School in Missouri. He was married on January 31, 1998 to Alanna (Rogers) Feltes. Joey was a machine operator for Cummins Engine Company in Seymour, Indiana and was a Christian. He was the Assistant Cub Master from 2014-2019 and Scout Master from 2019 to present for the Boy Scouts of America Troop # 4234. Joey enjoyed hiking, camping, hunting, four wheeling and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Alanna Feltes; a son and daughter, Brandt and Jadyn Feltes both of Scottsburg, Indiana; his father, Michael Feltes of West Alton, Missouri; his mother, Debra Feltes of Florissant, Missouri; a sister, Heather Feltes of Portage Des Souix, Missouri; a brother, Nicholas Feltes of Arnold, Missouri; his father and mother-in-law, Bruce and Vera Rogers of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister and brother-in-law, Alisa and Delmar Morgan; two nieces, Gabrielle Grotegeers and Madison Cook and four nephews, Hunter and Ethan Morgan and Chase and Caleb Feltes and also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew Rigsby officiating. Visitation: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday at Collins Funeral Home. Visitation and services will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed. Please follow the CDC's recommendations and guidelines while attending the services and face masks will be required due to the governor's executive order.
