Joyce Lynn "Hook" Knight, 63, of Salem, Indiana passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. Joyce's life was one of love, dedication, and hard work. She was born on September 9, 1960, in Seymour, Indiana, to the late Lowry Smith and Ida (Gay) Smith. Joyce graduated from Salem High School in the class of 1979. On August 18, 1979, she married the love of her life, Dennis Knight, and he survives. She retired from Samtec in Scottsburg, Indiana after more than twenty-five years. Joyce was a devoted family woman. Her unconditional love for them knew no bounds, and she found immense joy in spoiling her grandchildren. Joyce had a passion for the Indiana Hoosiers and loved nothing more than cheering on her favorite team with her loved ones by her side. Sundays held a special place in her heart, where she found solace and joy in the company of her family. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Michael Smith and Lowry Smith. In addition to her husband, Dennis, Joyce is survived by one son, Anthony Joseph "A.J."(Arya) Knight of Hanover, Indiana; two sisters, Doris (Jim) Biddle and Rhonda King both of Bloomington, Indiana; one brother, Rick (Tammy) Smith of Scottsburg, Indiana; and two grandchildren, Addison Joyce Knight and Avery Joseph Knight. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 12:00 noon at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Collins Funeral Home. Burial will follow services at Little York Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
