Joyce Mosier (62) passed at Norton Scott on January 18, 2025, with the love of her family surrounding her. She was born February 20th, 1962, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to James and Addie (Frodge) Houchens. She married the love of her life, Richard Mosier, on April 25, 1981, and together, they built a beautiful life filled with the love of and for their daughters. Joyce's greatest joy was her seven granddaughters, whom she would joyfully tell you all about them if you ever talked with her for any time. She was the proudest mom and grandmom you'd ever meet. She looked forward to attending all the granddaughters' sporting events, performances, and any achievement ceremony. She would beam with pride when with them. You could find her adventuring with her loving husband when not shouting praises from the stands for her girls. She loved riding shotgun with her husband in their Corvette, behind him on his motorcycle, or just riding the back roads with him trying to get lost. She loved traveling with her family for short camping weekends, a week lying on the beach (and shopping), or cruising in the Caribbean. Any time she was with her family was her ideal time. She is survived by her loving spouse Richard (Rick), three daughters Stacy Kiefer (Joseph), Tracy Hatter (Jake), Stephanie Mosier (Lauren), and her granddaughters Shaelyn Hatter, Regan Kiefer, Mackenzie Hatter, Avery Kiefer, Briley Ward, and Kory Ward. Her siblings also survive her: Shirlee Barnett, Sue Mooneyhan, Gene Gumm, Barbara Fitzpatrick, Linda Reynolds, Buck Brummett, Becky Adair, Gary Houchens, Mike Houchens, Donnie Houchens, and Teresa Allinger Disney. also, her loving in-laws Betty Moiser, Mike (Tammy) Mosier, and Debra (Kenny) Jett. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Addie Houchens, granddaughter Payton Alyssa Ward, father-in-law Richard Mosier, Sr., and siblings Faye Jefferies, James Gumm, and Melvin Brummett. The memorial service for Joyce Mosier will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 11:00am at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Greg Schuler officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday January 22, 2025, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and Thursday from 10:00am until time of funeral service. Burial will follow the service at Mt.
