Kathleen "Kathy" Richey, 73, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on October 19, 1949 in Sellersburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late James and Mildred (Hutchinson) Griffin. On April 17, 1968 she married Michael Leo Richey, Sr. who passed away on May 26, 1988. Kathy enjoyed doing cross words and spending endless hours with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She never got tired of reading or coloring with them all. In addition to her parents and husband, Michael, Kathy is preceded in death by six siblings, James, Steve, Janice, Donnie, Edward, and Deloris. Survivors include two daughters, Melinda (Donnie) Davidson and Mechael Richey; three sons, Michael Leo (Deborah) Richey, Jr., Randy (Monica) Richey, and Donald Richey all of Scottsburg, Indiana; three brothers, Gary (Linda ) Griffin, Danny (Penny) Griffin, and Jackie (Anita) Griffin; one sister, Ruth (Earl) Blevins; twelve grandchildren, Amanda, Meranda, Nathan, Robert, Christopher, Derek, Britni, Brooke, Abby, Cameron, Lilah, and Sadie; and thirteen great grandchildren. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Gary Griffin officiating.
