Kathleen E. Owen, 74, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on May 2, 2024 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on January 24, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Gilbert Owen and Hilda Keith Skaggs.

Kathleen worked as a Qualified Medical Assistant for many years working at both Hickory Creek Nursing Home and Visiting Angels. She loved tending to the flowers at her apartment complex and feeding the birds and deer. She was avid reader. She enjoyed helping her neighbors and being a part of her St. James Place family. She also loved spending time with her kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Chuck Skaggs, parents; grandson, James Andrew Combs; great granddaughter, Storie Oaklynn Binkley; twin brothers, David Owen and Danny Owen; and brother, Jr. Owen. She is survived by her children, Ray (Diana) Fulkerson of Huntsville, Alabama, Kristi Napier of Otisco, Indiana, and Lisa Baker of Vero Beach, Florida; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one brother Frank (Ina) Owen of Jeffersonville, Indiana; three sisters, Nona (Stephen) Payne of Underwood, Indiana, Norma (Richard) Cash of Charlestown, Indiana, and Frances (Roger) Goforth of Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana from 2:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm with Bryan Brock officiating.
