Kay McCrady, 81, of Lexington, Indiana passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on July 3, 1942 in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late Raymond LeRoy Gasaway and Frances Helen (Masters) Gasaway. On June 3, 1960 she married Alfred McCrady, who preceded her in death on March 24, 2010. She was a very involved member of Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church. Kay was a volunteer at the Red Cross blood drives and was on the kitchen committee at Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church where they prepared many meals. She enjoyed being outside in the sun, entertaining, swimming, cooking, traveling, and loved listening to Elvis. Most of all Kay loved being with her family. In addition to her husband Kay was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Michael Ray McCrady. Kay is survived by her son, Marty McCrady of Scottsburg, Indiana; sister, Dixie Lee Miller of Scottsburg, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Megan Nicole (James) Stone of Underwood, Indiana; Dustin Lane (Kenzi) McCrady of Kinder Hook, Indiana; Mitchell Lee McCrady of Salem, Indiana; Michael Shane (Krista) McCrady of Scottsburg, Indiana; Steven Kyle (Anna) Morris of Pittsboro, Indiana; Alice (Charlie) Brock of Indianapolis, Indiana; Monica Nakatsuka of Noblesville, Indiana; Stephanie Atha of Seymour, Indiana; Kayla (Chris) Darlage of Seymour, Indiana; and 18 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and after 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. Services will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M with Alice Brock officiating. Interment will be at Scaffold Lick Cemetery in Blocher, Indiana.
