Kelly Lynn Bowling, 68, passed away on November 6, 2025, at Baptist Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on October 18, 1957, in Forest Park, Ohio, to the late David Heberden and Patrica (Murphy) Heberden. Kelly married Gary Bowling on October 15, 2005, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2021. Kelly dedicated over a decade of her professional life to Indiana University, where she served in the Dean of Education office. Beyond her career, Kelly found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She cherished time spent in her backyard, where she and her beloved husband, Gary, cultivated a flourishing garden together and created cherished memories canning their harvests. In addition to her parents Kelly is preceded in death by her husband, Gary. Kelly is survived by one daughter, Amy (Jack) Taylor Cusimano; two sons, Eric (Sylvia) DeYoung and Kevin (Kelley) DeYoung; two brothers, Chip Heberden and Scott Heberden; one sister, Megan (Bill) Harris; the father of her three children, Rick DeYoung; five grandchildren, Lily Ann, Ella Grace, Tyler, Camila, and Benji.
