He was born on February 22, 1942, in Brookside, Kentucky, to the late Jackson Givens and Rella (Barger) Couch. His commitment extended beyond his professional life; he enjoyed coaching Little League baseball in Scottsburg and basketball at Johnson Elementary. Kenny enjoyed fishing and, most of all, spending time with family.
