Lanny A. Snelling, 73, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on December 8, 1949 in Scottsburg, Indiana, son of the late Lee A. and Lydia (Owen) Snelling. On August 19, 1972 he married Brenda (Kliessendorff) Snelling, who survives. Lanny enjoyed camping, fishing, music, sitting on the porch swing, and most importantly spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Virginia Gardner and Joyce Crick. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Brenda Snelling of Scottsburg, Indiana; daughter, Rebecca (Richard) Rosenberger of Scottsburg, Indiana; son, David (Jessica) Snelling of La Grange, Kentucky; three sisters, Barbara Walls of Henryville, Indiana, Ruth (Danny) Brooks of Henryville, Indiana, and Marie Sexton of Clarksville, Indiana; brother, Danny (Kathy) Snelling of Henryville, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Caralyn, Shannon (Kwame), Caleb, Seth (Gabbi), Collin, Sophie, and Jack; three great-grandchildren, Oheneba, Adric, and Adalynn; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Collins Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, December 16, 2022 and after 10:00 am Saturday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Cravens Cemetery.
