Larry Ellingwood, 77, of Scottsburg, Indiana, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on February 18, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of the late Rosario "Roy" Mulinaro and Cleo Ellingwood. Larry graduated from Manual High School in Indianapolis, Indiana in the Class of 1961, was Catholic and a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of the Vietnam War. After serving in Vietnam, he worked for Dan Young Chevrolet in Indianapolis. Larry was also a former marketing consultant with his friend John Lienhart and had worked as a bartender for Ruth's Chris Restaurant all in Indianapolis. After moving to Scottsburg, he worked at Hardy's Cafe in Scottsburg, Indiana and Stop-in Liquors in Crothersville, Indiana. Larry was a member of the Moose Family Center # 2324 in Scottsburg, Indiana and looked forward to his Monday afternoon pool games there. He enjoyed playing golf, watching sports on TV and going to Casinos. Larry was well read, liked doing the daily newspaper crossword puzzles, was very personable and took great pride in remembering the names of the people he met. Survivors include his companion, Jan Hardy of Scottsburg, Indiana; three children, Scott, Todd and Amy Ellingwood; a twin brother, Jerry Ellingwood; two half sisters, Mary and Teri Ellingwood; a half brother, Francis Etherige; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Megan, Cortney, Lauren, Blake, Taylor and Jennifer and eleven great grandchildren, Jaylen, Aaliyah, R.J., Harper, Eli, Landon, Genevieve, Giselle, Tinsley, Raegan and Gianni Lorenzo. In keeping with Larry's wishes cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Graveside services and military honors will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Scottsburg Cemetery.
