LaVonna Elaine Richey

LaVonna Elaine Richey, 36, of Scottsburg, Indiana, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on June 7, 2026. She was born on March 6, 1990, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to Clifford "Buddy" Richey and Stephanie (Arbuckle) Richey. LaVonna was known for her compassionate spirit and selfless dedication to her family, especially her children, whom she cherished above all else. LaVonna's warmth, loving nature, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and strength will continue to shine through her children and the many lives she touched. LaVonna is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Everitt and Wanda Arbuckle; paternal grandfather, Sonny Richey; and a cousin, Linzi LaFever. She is survived by her parents, Buddy and Stephanie Richey; three children, Dakota Bowers, Skylar McDaniel, and Easton McDaniel; sister, Heather (Matthew) Rudolph; paternal grandmother, Linda Richey; nephew and niece, Jaxon and Lexy. The funeral service for LaVonna Richey will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 1:00pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Collins Funeral Home.
