Leo Willard Thompson, 85, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at his residence. He was born on November 30, 1937 in Greensburg, Kentucky, the son of the late Richard A. Thompson and Lola (Kidd) Thompson. Leo was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. Leo served his country by joining the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps. He was a very proud American that supported the Republican Party. In his free time Leo enjoyed going fishing. On November 30, 2002 he married Frieda (Ratliff) Thompson, who survives. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Thompson; and five siblings, Carolyn, Weldon, Bill, Jewell and Kay. Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Frieda (Ratliff) Thompson; two children, Tammy and Tim; brother, Richard (Marjorie) Thompson of Glasgow, Kentucky; sister, Jeania Rash of Greensburg, Kentucky.
