Linda Kay Boyd, 64, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 12, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky.
A true sweetheart, she was born on Valentine's Day February 14, 1962, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the daughter of Zon Boyd and Betty Alsup.
Linda was the rock of her family, always thinking of others before herself. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her 'grands'. The beach was her happy place, where she made lasting memories with her family. She also enjoyed tending to her plants, traveling, and enjoying the freedom of the open road on her Harley motorcycle. She had a vibrant spirit and found joy in life's simple moments, whether surrounded by loved ones or exploring new places.
From tackling home improvements to embracing the challenge of a new career at the age of 54, Linda's strength, determination, and resilience were a constant inspiration to her family and friends. Linda completed her Associate of Science degree in Radiologic Technology in 2018 from Sullivan University. She worked as a radiologic technologist at Baptist Louisville Hospital, where she dedicated years of compassionate care to her patients and colleagues.
She was a Christian by faith and lived her life with kindness and warmth toward those around her. She will be remembered for her caring and welcoming heart, her adventurous spirit, and the love she shared with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Rodney Boyd. She is survived by her sons; Shane McCrady(Krista), Dustin McCrady(Kenzi), Kyle Morris(Anna); sisters, Shelly Boyd-Meenach(Larry), Monica Nevils; Janie Bell, Tammy Garfield, Brenda Marlow(Bob); brothers, Tommy Boyd, Alan Meyers, Bill Shepherd(Tonwia); along with 10 grandchildren; Caleb, Briar, Kaydence, Ramsey, Taylor, Daisy, Kindlin, Ivan, Oaken, Harper, 2 great grandchildren and her loving fiancé Danny Pierpont. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 from 4-6pm with service to follow at Collins Funeral Home.
