Linda Lucille (Francis) Chasteen, 72, of Scottsburg, passed away on April 29,2025 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born December 4, 1952, in Scottsburg, to the late Verlin and Norma (LaMaster) Francis. She graduated from Scottsburg High School. She married Terry Lee Chasteen on May 13, 1977. Linda spent 20 years working with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She then worked for Scott Memorial Hospital before retiring after working in Dr. William Cook's office. Her interests were in gardening and crafting and her greatest love came from spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. She was a former member of Vienna Baptist Church. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Mike and Randy Thompson and a sister, Judy Boyd. Family surviving to cherish her memories are her husband, Terry Chasteen of Scottsburg, four daughters, Kelly (Dave) Tenney, Melanie Chasteen, Sommer (Mike) Wilson and Terra Chasteen all of Jeffersonville, her sister, Martha (Jr.) Melton of Henryville, and brother, Jimmy (Linda) Francis of Deputy. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Olivia Clark, Turner (Amy) Puckett, Emmy Grant, Sydney Chasteen, Dalton Puckett and Madelyn Ehrhart as well as five great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Linda will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 3:00pm at Collins Funeral Home with Phil Lamaster officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation will follow services with a burial at a later date at Scaffold Lick Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana. Memorial donations can be made in Linda's name to St. Croix Hospice in c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
