Linda Lee McGlothlin, 86, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on February 16, 2026, at Baptist Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on August 8, 1939, on the family farm in Johnson Township, Indiana, to the late Clarence Alvin Lowry and Katie (Evans) Lowry.
Linda married Marvin McGlothlin on August 29, 1959, in the Church of Christ at Scottsburg. Marvin preceded her in death on August 22, 2022. The couple had 6 children, Tim McGlothlin, Matt (Melanie) McGlothlin, Tamah (Tom) DePriest, Terah (Randol) Woolbright, Lyn (Jerry) Lyon, Tabitha "Beth" (Chris) Colson. Linda worked for many years in the Scott County Clerk’s office before retiring.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marvin, Linda is preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Lowry and John Lowry; one sister, Joyce Broady and one brother-in-law, Joe McGlothlin.
Linda is survived by two sons, Tim McGlothlin and Matt (Melanie) McGlothlin; four daughters, Tamah (Tom) DePriest, Terah (Randol) Woolbright, Lyn (Jerry) Lyon, and Tabitha "Beth" (Chris) Colson; four brothers, Eric (Nancy) Lowry, Terry (Delores) Lowry, Kevin Lowry, and Brian (Melinda) Lowry; three sisters, Martha (David) Tellis, Sue (George, Jr.) Lucas, Katy (Tim) Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Susan Lowry; brother-in-law, Steve Broady; grandchildren, Todd & Ryan McGlothlin, Kate Short, Adam DePriest, Sara Woolbright, Luke Woolbright, Anna Reynolds, Leah Dixon, Erin Hewitt, Hali Sheridan, Lara McGlothlin, Mallory McGlothlin, Wyatt McGlothlin, Mara Polk, Macy Colson and Abby Jerrell; twenty-one great grandchildren (with 2 more on the way), countless cousins, nieces and nephews.
The memorial service for Linda McGlothlin will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Church of Christ. Visitation will be prior to the service on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at the Church of Christ in Scottsburg, Indiana.
Memorial donations can be made in Linda's name to the Scottsburg Education Loan Fund (S.E.L.F). This program annually awards interest-free loans to graduates of Scottsburg High School for use in assisting former students with their pursuit of an A.B. or B.S. post-secondary degree. Contributions can be sent to S.E.L.F. Inc., P.O. 98, Scottsburg IN 47170, or through Collins Funeral Home.
