IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda K.
(Riley) Hall
August 31, 1943 – December 4, 2024
Linda K. (Riley) Hall, 81, passed away December 4, 2024, in Arizona, where she lived since 2021.
Linda was born August 31, 1943, to John and Mary (Hardin) Riley, of Austin, Indiana. She was a
proud 1961 Eagle graduate of Austin High School. Following graduation, she married Marvin
Dean and had four children together: Belinda (Ace) Woodson, Jeffery Dean, Melissa (Wayne)
Campbell, and Kimberly (Darrell) Charles. Following her divorce in 1969, she continued to raise
her four children on her own. In 1975, she married the late Jim "Slim" Hall of Scottsburg, IN.,
who preceded her in death in 2002. They welcomed their only daughter Monica (Joshua) White
in 1980 and lived as a blended family. Mrs. Hall's adult children all survive, along with
grandchildren Jamie (Ashley) Campbell, Bradley (Carla) Buckner, Michael Graham, Abigail
White, and Allison White. She had several great grandchildren, especially Jacob Campbell,
whom she was very close to during his younger years.
Mrs. Hall was a Scott County native, operating her own in-home daycare, working for many
local businesses; American Plastics, First Christian Church Daycare, Scott County School District
2, McDonald's and Ponderosa. She was an avid supporter of Scottsburg Athletics and Marching
Band. She volunteered for Scott Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Hampton Oaks Assisted Living.
In her retirement she enjoyed gardening, crafting, sunbathing, bus tours, Casino stops, playing
Bingo, traveling, and many adventures with her best friends Verda Barrett, Jenny Martin, Sandy
Mayfield, and Donna Craig.
Mrs. Hall chose whole body donation with cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held in
Summer 2025, arrangements pending with Collins Funeral Home of Scottsburg.
